The Ricoh multifunction copiers allow you to send a job to the printer, but have it not actually print until you get there. There are three way of doing this: hold, lock, and store.
Hold - This will leave your print job waiting in the queue. When you get there simply select it and press print.
Lock - This will leave your print job waiting in the queue, but will require a passcode to actually print it. When you get there, select it, enter your passcode, and press print.
Store - This will leave your print job waiting in the queue with a passcode, but it will stay in the queue even after you print, allowing you to print the same thing later.
Steps:
1. Open the Star Menu and select Devices and Printers
2. Right click on the Ricoh device you want to set the hold on and select Printing Preferences
3. Click the Job/Log tab and enter your UNI under User ID
4. If you want all of your prints to be held, go to step 5. If you want all of your prints to be locked, go to step 6. If you want all of your prints to be stored, go to step 7.
5. Click the Job type menu and select Hold Print. Then click OK or Apply.
6. Click the Job type menu and select Locked Print and add a passcode. Then click OK or Apply.
7. Click the Job type menu and select Stored Print and add a passcode. Then click OK or Apply.
