Front - Getting Started

Hello Front Mailbox Admins,

 
Welcome to Front - a collaborative work space where all shared inboxes and apps for teams can interact. Please take the time to read through this guide to get a feel for this interactive system. 
 
Getting Started: 
  1. Log into Front at columbiasps.frontapp.com (bookmark this page) using your UNI and password. The SSO Domain is columbiasps
  2. Add your Teammates (instructions below)
  3. Forward Training invites to your teammates
  4. Create Team signatures and configure rules (instructions below)
Add Teammates:
As the admin of your Team Inbox (i.e., shared mailbox), you are responsible for inviting others on your team to join Front as a Member. Members will only be able to manage/reply to mail. They will not be able to create rules or invite other teammates. Check out: How to Add a New Teammate.

How To Apply for UNI account and Password Through CUIT (Alternate Aliases): 

In some cases there are many email addresses forwarding into one account. Please note that these forwards have been set up so you won't miss any incoming mail. However you may not see all alias available to send from or reply with. If you need to send mail from a specific alias that is not listed please contact spssystems@columbia.edu.

Creating Rules and Other Features:

Rules can be used to automate some of your workflows. Check out: Understanding Rules (article) and How to Use Rules (video guide). You can also Create a Team Signature and Create a Sequence (campaign/mail merge) - note, you can send 200 emails at a time. 
 
Recipient Limits: 

 You can email up to 200 recipients at one time in Front. Lists bigger than this will be flagged as spam and the account will be suspended for the day. To email groups larger than 200, divide the recipient list; for example, to email 500 recipients, email 200, then another 200, then 100.
