1. Uninstall any instance of the Cisco VPN client (or Cisco AnyConnect) on your computer.
2. Connect to https://vpn.cc.columbia.edu using your web browser (Note: Use Internet Explorer) Please note that VPN Setup now requires MultiFactor Authentication (MFA) using Duo Security. Please refer to this guide if you do not have this feature installed already.
3. Login using your UNI. (Leave the group set to COLUMBIA_VPN.)
4. Download and install the client.
- If your operating system is automatically detected, proceed with the automatic installation.
- If your operating system is not automatically detected, click the "AnyConnect VPN" download link. After the download is complete, run the installer
- Use Internet Explorer to download and run installer if you experience any problems.
5. Launch Cisco AnyConnect client. The client can be found in a folder named "Cisco" in either your Program Files (Windows) or Applications (OSX) folder.
6. Enter "vpn.cc.columbia.edu" in the AnyConnect window.
7. Use the "COLUMBIA_VPN" group and login using your UNI.
